Mount Vernon Intermediate has a mentoring program for students who are struggling academically and/or socially. Teachers and staff members choose one or two students to mentor throughout the year. They provide encouragement and check on the students regularly to make sure classwork is being completed successfully. We also encourage community members to become mentors.
