Dear Parents of Beginner Band Students:

The school year has started off great! We are in the middle of Mary Had a Little Lamb and Go Tell Aunt Rhodie! Thanks for your patience and persistence in the practice process. Students are to be turning in practice times weekly for a homework grade.
Our band tshirts are here. Please send $8.00 to school (payable to Mt. Vernon Band) as soon as possible, and your child will receive his/her tshirt the following day.
Our Christmas Concert is coming up very quickly. The date is Tuesday, December 4th at 6:30. The beginner band students will need to wear their band tshirts and khaki (tan) slacks or skirt with nice shoes (no flip flops) for the concert. This will be their concert attire for the spring concert as well. The concert is given as their band semester exam grade. Attendance is required. Please mark the date on your calendar.
We are so excited to be able to showcase the talents of our young musicians. They are doing an outstanding job, and we look forward to seeing everyone at the Christmas Concert.
