Class rank – top 10% will be distributed to seniors tomorrow during tutorials in the commons area….

Will the following students please meet with Ms. Colvin at the next class change (commons area) Bonnie Worley, Chance Crane, Cody Poe, Neil Blevins, Derrick Porter, Tucker Gatlin, John Cleveland, Colton Caraway.

Yearbooks are on sale for $40- forms in the office – deadline is May 20th.

Teachers – we are officially done with TAKS! You may (please) remove the “do not disturb” function from your phones now that TAKS is complete!

Would you announce new scholarships
Key club- Due May 5th must be postmarked today
Goss- Michael –Visual Arts Due May 10th
Shakespeare Club-Due May 6th

All 9th grade students who wish to take Pre-AP English II next year (2008-2009) need to meet in the Lecture Hall on Wednesday, May 7th during tutorials with Ms. Sanders. Summer reading, etc. will be discussed.


All scholarship applications must be complete – please be sure to include all information on the applications!


Pre-registration for next year (2008-2009) will be the week after the TAKS (May 5th – 9th). Stay tuned for more information.

10th grade will be Tuesday, May 6th – again we will split grade levels (same times) start at 8:00AM and go into 2nd (possibly 3rd period)

11th grade, Wednesday, May 7th – again we will split grade levels (same times)

Spring reminders:
 IPOD/MP3 players - please leave these items at home
 Cafeteria seating – you have done well, continue to be polite and pick up trash
 Dress code
 Must pass the 2nd semester of all courses to earn credit
 HS students are not to be in the JH for any reason during the school day or after school
 Students need to have administrator permission to be in the parking lot – students are never permitted to sit in vehicles or “hang out” in the parking lots before school, during tutorials, lunch, etc.


Seniors – for the senior slideshow on May 22nd you need to begin bringing a baby picture and group pictures (friends, etc.) to Ms. Elliott. Be sure all pictures have your name on them. These will be included in the Senior Slideshow at First National Bank.

Senior slideshow planning party is tomorrow for all senior class sponsors. The meeting will be held at the FNB Century Room during the lunch period.

Balfour will be here to size for letter jackets on Tuesday, May 13th at 8:30 a.m. I have order forms in the office and they need to come by and pick one up prior to Balfour getting here so they can decided on patches, etc.

Auditions for the 2008 -2009 Colorguard will be May 15th. Anyone interested should attend the information meeting in the Band Hall on May 5th from 3:30 - 4:00. There will also be a clinic to prepare you after school each day the week prior to auditions.

Senior Activities coming up!!
 Senior Cap & Gown picture – Thursday, May 16th (Srs. Need to bring cap & gown that day)
 Baccalaureate service is Sunday, May 25th 7PM (optional) place TBA

Current cheerleaders need to meet in the cafeteria at 3:30 to decorate for the sports banquet. Thanks, Mrs. Rutledge
