I was born in Abilene,Tx and my family moved to Shallowater soon after that. Shallowater is a small town in West Texas near Lubbock. I graduated from Shallowater HS. I attended and graduated from Texas Tech University where I studied Spanish and Secondary Education.

My husband, Ryan is also an educator and he also graduated from Texas Tech.
We have 2 beautiful girls. Zoé is 9 and is in 4th grade. Zayda is 2 and has a wonderful babysitter that takes great care of her while mom and dad are working.
