Our summer vacation is coming to an end and I would like to welcome three new teachers to our staff. Mrs. Russell will be teaching 2nd grade, while Mrs. Faulkner and Mrs. Sewell will be working with the 3rd grade students. We are so fortunate to be able to hire such quality staff members.

The maintenance staff is working hard to get the elementary building ready for the students. Over the summer, we have had major construction throughout our building. We have replaced our old air handlers with three new ones. This will allow the teachers to have better control over the room temperature. The maintenance staff has also been busy painting classrooms. The new paint has made these rooms look fresh and inviting. Additionally, the maintenance staff has worked very hard on the gym floor. They stripped off all the old varnish and have repainted the lines. They did a great job and now our gym looks bright and new. Even though some of these projects are not completed at this time the staff will have everything completed when the students get here on August 25th.

The parents and students are invited to come visit their classroom and teacher on August 21st. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students are invited to come and go from 1:30 to 3:30 on the 21st. Kindergarten will meet the students and parents at 5:30. The kindergarten teachers will use this time to discuss classroom expectations and student behaviors.
