Our Mount Vernon High School goals for the 2007-2008 school year are:

1. To improve TAKS scores in all core content areas at all grade levels.

2. To provide a safe, orderly environment so students can be academically successful.

3. To increase our overall student attendance rate to 97% or higher.

4. To actively recruit, maintain and train the highest quality teaching staff in Northeast Texas.

These are lofty goals; our Site-Based Decision Making Committe is committed to these goals and has helped to formulate these goals. We are committed to being the best high school in Northeast Texas.
